On my tax return i claimed i had not received the 2021 stimulus payment. One week after i filed and my return was accepted i received a letter from the IRS stating that i HAD received the stimulus payment. How do i fix this?

The IRS knows they sent you the stimulus payment. They will adjust the 2021 tax return you filed accordingly. Any federal tax refund owed after the correction will be delayed by several weeks or longer.

There is no need for you to amend the 2021 tax return.
