reject code IND-507

My federal refund keeps getting rejected due to the IND-507 code, my child’s father had added our son as a dependent on his return. I mailed my return Jan 31st  since I am rightfully claiming him He had already amended his return and removed our son off his return and the IRS has taken the adjustment out of his refund, I just tried to re-efile after speaking to a turbo tax expert but it was yet again rejected due to the same code. I can not get any information on my mailed return, I am at a lost as to what to do next.

You have to wait for your mailed return to be processed.  It may take the IRS several more weeks (or even months) to do so.

You will not be able to e-file at all this year ---- when someone claimed your child his SSN was put into the system and now the only way you can file and claim him is by mail.   Mailed returns take much longer to process so you will have to be patient.

If I am carrying 3 dependents on my return and receive the Reject Code IND-507. How do I know which dependent was claimed?

if you have the right to claim a dependent, then they should be listed on the tax return and MAILED in (you can't efile).  the IRS will straighten it out once received and compared to the other tax return where the same dependent is listed.

Alternatively, suggest contacting the person who also claimed these dependents and ask😊
