I received a ACH transfer from TPG for federal taxes,  but I'm missing $1,288.58. I know if turbo tax filing fees of $107, but where is the rest of my money? I need TPG or turbo tax to send me money that's missing.

There could have been an offset or correction made to your refund by the IRS.  For more information on this, please see the Help Article here for further assistance.  If you feel like none of the scenarios mentioned fits, please reach out to the IRS.

To call the IRS: 800-829-1040

Hours: 7 AM - 7 PM, local time

Monday-Friday

  • Listen to each menu before making the selection.
  • First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
  • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
  • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
  • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

Thanks for the message,  but I do not owe any debts to anyone nor to the IRS. The IRS website shows exactly the amount you are expected to get and a tracking status of full refund sent.  TPG scamming [Removed] took money from me and neither them or turbo tax are addressing the many issues that everyone seem to be experiencing and this is the 1st time I've experienced this.  I've been a turbo tax user for over 10 years.  Definitely sending this to 7 on your side.

The IRS will send you a letter telling you why the refund was different than you anticipated. Did you claim   a stimulus check you already received?  That’s the most common adjustment . The software companies get no information from the IRS after being accepted
