I purchased turbo tax deluxe but now find out that my laptop does not have the correct operating system to install it. I was given the option to use the online premier version. My question- I prepare the returns for multiple people in my household (3 of us). Can I do that with the online version? Is there an extra cost? I know I have to pay $25 for each state filing.

Premier is desktop software. You must mean online Premium. When you use online software you get one return per fee. You pay separate software use fees for federal and state. There is no state e-file fee for online. Each return needs its own email, account and user ID. So---it is much more expensive to use online than to use desktop download when you have multiple returns to prepare.
