Just making this to narrow down our cycle group to keep us all updated on each other for transcript updates, WMR updates ect! Waiting for this DDD! And be kind no drama pleeeaaasseee.

Santa Barbara Bank took the fees out of my refund 2/26 which was my & my transcript had the issue date of 2/26 & wmr was showing sent on 2/27 still no deposit in my BOA account by 2/28 so I'm wondering where the heck is my money by now so I did a little research & was reading in a Facebook group to go to Santa Barbara Bank website & select to view it on the desktop site because on the mobile they will only show the fees taken out but on the desktop site it shows if & where your refund has been issued come to find out they charged me $30 for the deposit into the bank that I never got & the next day they issued a check not to mention I had all the correct banking information but they still decided to send it via check anyway & I've heard I'm not the only one they just decided to issue a check to just because so now I'm just waiting to receive it through the mail let's see how long this takes. LOL!

If the deposit was rejected by your bank for any reason the refund is converted to a check mailed to the address on the return. Incorrect routing/account numbers is just one reason for the reject. If you are not the owner of the account that can also trigger the reject and so can any limitations on the amount transferred if your bank has limitations. Contact your bank to see why the deposit was refused.

Yeah I think we will get an update tonight. WMR only updates overnight. Transcripts from what I can see only updates once a week. I think we could see our refunds by Friday or next week. We shall see what happens in the am, whether we have a update from wmr or not.

I just found this thread, I am also cycle code 20200705 with processing date of today, 3/2. Does anyone have any updated info? I was just able to access my transcript today, I never knew how to before reading all of everyone else's comments and posts, but I am just curious to if anyone has a update, or if we have anything in common, other than the cycle code, and processing date. @Shelbyashirley @Vernonr1980 @LaQuanB01 @Tmosley88 @August_biechy

@Crystal92389 I'm not sure of all your other info but on our transcripts it looks like code 570 with date 3/2/2020 and then a 971 with date 3/9/2020. We know why ours is frozen because the IRS hasn't received my husband's w2 and w3 from his company. So they can't verify he worked last year. Our tax advocate called us today and was assigned to us today and we faxed her the letter from the employer she needed and a copy of our w2. So no update yet but hopefully soon!

No update on this end either.. and I have given up calling the IRS, because of the 3 times I did call, each of the people I spoke to all told me different information. One says, letter was mailed out the week of Feb 21st, and that same lady said, that processing starts at any time, it doesn't start when you receive your letter.. so I had hope after talking with her.. Haha! Then, upon calling yesterday.. I got this woman, who told me, don't bother look for your refund for at least 60 days after you get the letter.. this letter that was mailed out when? Back in Feb, or the letter that the transcript says a date for 3/9?!? Regardless, I have heard two rumors thus far.. that the IRS is so far behind, this is their way of slowing **** down, or second was, this had only happened to the people who filed really early.. which like I said, they are rumors, so I don't know what is true, all I do know is that I did file super early, around the second week of January. But, I think this little thread going is great, and at least if one of us here gets an update, we can post so others can be on the look out too.

I have processing date of March 2, 2020 and cycle 20200705. I have a code 570 with date of Mar 2nd and showing $0. I also have code 971 with date of Mar 09th. I created an account to get my tax transcript today so I am wondering if the 971 is for that? I called and talked to the IRS yesterday. The lady I talked to was really nice. She told me that Feb 20th that I was sent a letter but I haven’t received a letter. I was also told that it could take 60 days to get my refund from the Feb 20th date. I’m not sure if my family is being reviewed randomly or if it’s because this tax season we had self employment and didn’t know about estimated taxes. I worked a short temporary job and didn’t know about estimated taxes. The lady I talked to was really nice but she kept apologizing saying she didn’t really know enough about it to tell me exactly why they needed longer to review it. She just kept saying they needed more time to process it.

I did notice at the top of my IRS transcript that it has accrued interest and accrued penalty and both say $0 and has a date of Mar 9th, 2020. I was curious as to why that date is used and I’m hoping maybe I’ll get my refund by then?

I have 570 code and 971 with 03/09/2020 date. called IRS yesterday, they said that my return was choose for an review and that Im supposed to get a letter CP05. that it might take 45-60 days to review... BS

All, I’ve learned something today. Our codes may be same, same dates, etc,,,, but each person is truly unique. Although I was a part of the path hold; my refund remained on hold due to an issue with 2017 tax. For sure, their letters are slow. I decided to call IRS directly. I found out the problem and now I can take action sooner rather than later!

Well I finally decided to call the irs and see what's going on. I was told a notice was sent out on Feb 21 and that could take up to 2 weeks to get to me. I filed and was accepted on Jan 27th. The rep told me that I was randomly selected for their review and that could take up to 60 days to complete. In the meantime just look over my return and check for any errors and correct them but in the meantime I'm just waiting for their review to finish. I usually buy tt deluxe every year and this one year decided to do free file and now all of this miss. All I can do is remain patient and keep checking for updates. This has been the longest wait ever.
