Now I owe after amended return?
My 1040X says I owe tax after completing the form 8962. Is this amount deducted from my original 1040A?
No it is not. Original returns and amended returns are treated as two separate returns. If you were due a refund on your original return you will still get that, if you owe on your amended return you will need to send payment in.
