New 2025 checkbox for "main home "

I have a question about checkbox "Check here if your main home, and your spouse’s if filing a joint return, was in the U.S. for more than half of 2025" in my 2025 return that is not checked.
I've got following response from the chat bot: "The checkbox will update automatically based on the data you provide about your presence in the U.S. You cannot change it manually."
However, I've answered all my questions carefully and correctly, we never left US for 2025, but this checkbox wasn't checked anyway.

Looks like a software bug or I need more information about how it is calculated.
Since my tax return was already processed. Is this a mistake that would require a tax amendment?

It doesn't matter whether the box is checked or not, unless you are claiming the Earned Income Credit (EIC). So there is no need for an amended return.

A question has been added to the Federal Review in TurboTax that allows you to check or uncheck the box. But again, since you have already filed your tax return you don't need to do anything about it for 2025.
