You do not need an IP PIN to file your tax return unless the IRS has assigned an IP PIN to you. If you have not been assigned an IP PIN just don't enter anything in TurboTax.

If you were assigned an IP PIN but you have lost it, follow the instructions at the following link on the IRS website to retrieve it.

Retrieve Your Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN)

If you have not been assigned an IP PIN but you want to opt in to get one, go to Get An Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) on the IRS website.

go to this website to onbtain the IPPIN.

https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/didnt-receive-or-lost-your-identity-protection-pin-ip-pin

if you do not obtain it, your alternative is to paper file; however, expect the refund to be delayed up to 9 months while the IRS determines your identity.

google “obtain my IRS IPPIN” and then follow the instructions on that IRS website to obtain your IPPIN.

Your alternative is  to paper file the return; however, expect up to a nine month delay in receiving your refund as the IRS takes the time to authenticate you.  They know the tax return was supposed to have an IPPIN and if you do not provide it, they will take the time to ensure it is not fraudulent.
