Filing taxes

I filed my Federal Taxes. My State return was set to Do not -Efile my state return now, I'll do it later. Conformation was returned that the Federal Taxes were accepted.

I  finished my State Taxes, then tried to file them. Under E-filing, both Federal and State are checked to E-File return now. (NB: I would expect nothing checked for Federal Forms.) I reset Federal to Do not e-file my Federal form now.., and set the State return to file now. I then get a message that the State file cannot be e-filed before the Federal file has been e-filed.

Of course it has been filed and accepted. I am caught in this eternal circle. How do I get my State form e-filed?

Verify that the software recognizes that the Federal tax return has been Accepted by the IRS.

Click on File in the upper left of the desktop program screen.

Click on Electronic Filing and Check Electronic Filing Status.

Does it show that the 2023 Federal tax return has been Accepted?

Yes, the Federal tax was Accepted. It shows this in Turbo Tax  as well as email conformation.
