I filed my federal return on march 13. 2026 and got a message on march 13 that it had been accepted by irs.I have not received my refund and have no explanation as to why. when i use the online irs prompt it says information not found. Can you help be with what is going on?

once a return is accepted, TurboTax receives no further information and cannot intercede on your behalf. This is a public forum that cannot contact the IRS on your behalf. You’ll have to call 800-829-1040 and speak to an agent.

are you sure that the e-mail said ‘‘accepted” and not “received” because you get two e-mails. the first says “submitted” which only means it was transmitted to the IRS. Ther second says “accepted” or “rejected”.

one thing you can do before calling is to try to access the online transcript of your return if it exists.
