Federal return rejected saying that the entered AGI from 2019 was not what the federal government had on record, but the number was auto filled by Turbo Tax and we confirmed from our hardcopy of last year's return that it is the correct AGI.   What causes this error and how do we fix this so we can efile?

The IRS AGI database might not be up to date. Try using 0 (zero) instead.

if 0 doesn't work one other option is to get an account transcript of your 2019 return from the IRS to check your AGI. in most cases it'll be what you have. if that's the case, for some  reasoneven those entering the correct AGI can't e-file. that leaves mailing it in.
