Complications signing in

I got a email saying that my 2019 taxes hadn't been e-filed had to change password went to sign in and it kept asking me too text me a old number I no longer have

    There are 3 options to signing in ... texting is only one of them ... choose another.

    If in fact your tax return really has not been filed---then you have to print it, sign it in ink and mail it.  E-fling is closed permanently for 2019 returns.  So if your return was rejected, it is too late to e-file it again.

     

    When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

    Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
