Child tax credit

I believe I claimed my son incorrectly. On the form, the child tax credit isn't checked, however, the credit for other dependents one is. In turn, I never received the $500 stimulus amount for him which is why I think it's filled incorrectly. How would I go about fixing this?

Did you enter a Social Security number for your child?  Was the child under the age of 17 at the end of 2019?  If the child was born in 2019, did you say he lived with you for the whole year?

Yes I entered his social, he's a year old born in 2019 and yes I put he lived with me the whole year. It still ended up as other dependents. The IRS sent me an additional child tax credit paperwork, I filled it out and sent it back and haven't heard back in over 2-3 months.

If you have not yet e-filed, try deleting him and then re-enter him as a dependent. That might clear out something you answered incorrectly.
