2020 irs asking for schedule 1

After sending in my tax return due to my husband claiming my daughter and she lives with me and I resent me back for 2020 that I need to refill out a schedule ones equals 7579 I don’t know what they talking about

And please, quote from the letter that the IRS has apparently sent you – what specifically are they asking for? Schedule 1 typically doesn’t have much to do with claiming a child.

From what you’re saying, it appears your husband claimed your daughter on his 2020 return when he wasn’t entitled. Did you claim her on your original 2020 return, and was your return processed as filed (i.e., did you get the refund or pay the tax you were supposed to?)

Please provide as much detail as possible.

Since you had to mail in your tax return, the IRS may need another copy of your sch 1 or child tax credit or EIC. You can print out whatever forms you need from your 2020 return. Simply fax or mail it back as asked. If you mail it, you may want to use tracking to be sure it arrives safely. Just read the letter carefully and send the forms they want.
