The IRS is not going to start processing 2018 tax returns until January 28. The earliest that any refunds would be paid is early to mid February. If you claimed the Earned Income Credit (EIC), Additional Child Tax Credit, or American Opportunity Credit, the IRS is not allowed to pay your refund until after February 15.
