We bought a house in another state in June, but maintained a residence and jobs in our old state until late December. What is considered our official moving date?

My wife made several weekend visits to the new state after the home purchase and got her driver's license and registered to vote in September.  We received one paycheck from our old jobs after completing the move to the new state in late December.  My wife did not work in the new state during the year; I worked the last two weeks of December, but was not paid until the new year.

"What is considered our official moving date? "

The date you crossed the state line for the last time, with no intention of returning to the old house as your "PRIMARY" residence.

You will most likely be filing a full-year resident return for the old state for the 2019 tax year, since you lived in that old state as your primary residence for more than half the year, and all of your 2018 income is from that old state.
