What is "recapture" in regards to Sale of rental property. Is it taxed as Cap.gains or ordinary income?

I sold the property at a loss (except when I added in depreciation), so I'm hoping the "recapture" is only capital gains?

Taxed as ordinary income. Is the depreciation you claimed - which was deducted against ordinary income.
