How to amend tax return if included 1099-c debt without receiving form

Hello,

As the question states, I input the information for cancelled debt on my tax return without receiving a 1099-c.

How would I go about amending this on the 1040x? I don't see a specific spot for this.

For now, you would need to wait, unfortunately.  You cannot amend yet.  As the IRS and states have not finalized the electronic version of the amendment forms, they are not available to be used yet.  Please come back later to this link 2019 Amend to amend.  In the meantime, I would suggest you wait until you have received your refund or your payment has cleared if there is a tax due. Please also note that you would need to amend ONLY IF the correction changes the original refund or tax due.
