2108 Turbo Tax requires a 2018 Date of Death! I need to file a 2018 return with a 2017 Date of Death, how do I override this?

You cannot file a 2018 Form 1040 for someone who died in 2017.

Income received after the year of death is called "Income in Respect of a Decedent".  It should be included on the Estate's Fiduciary Return, Form 1041, or the beneficiaries 2018 return.

You cannot file a 2018 Form 1040 for someone who died in 2017.
