Although my state taxes have to be mailed in, does my federal have to be as well if I already filed federal and it was accepted? Will I still get my Fed return in 21dys?

No, it is o.k. to e-file your federal and mail in your state income tax return.

As far as definitely getting it in 21 days, that is an estimate that the IRS gives. The IRS does give us some guidance on the matter. Remember, below is just an estimate.

No matter when you filed your tax return, if you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC,) it may take longer. 2019 IRS refund dates for DD and mailed chks.png

What if it was received on one of the odd dates not shown? I noticed how on the refund schedule table, the time frames are different, regardless of tax credit/s one may have

Use the date right after your return was received. For example, if your return got accepted on January 28, use January 29 as the date IRS received it.

I know the Feb. hold date has to do with credits, but does the February 15th hold day affect the people who return's were accepted before or after that date?

An if the date that your return isn't received, how would that still be applied to the table that was dropped above?
