Can I claim my son if my girlfriend is on WIC.

My girlfriend currently gets WIC. Being I make more I was wondering if claiming my son will affect my son from getting support from WIC

You would have to check with social services in your state.

To claim your son as a dependent, your son must live with you more than half the year. If your GF told social services she lives alone, to better qualify for assistance, that could certainly be a problem if you claimed him as a dependent. The IRS will not share your tax return with the state social services but the state tax department might.
