There seems to be a bug with casualty loss - it is showing as $0, but "sale of business" is showing my casualty loss number.

For some taxpayers, the TurboTax software is creating a Schedule D off the causality and theft losses from disaster areas.  We’re working on a solution to this issue.  Please “click here” to receive email notifications when any updates related to this issue become available.

Otherwise, If you qualify for tax relief, you will use Schedule A to determine your Hurricane Loss Standard Deduction.

To qualify for the hurricane-related loss you must live in an officially declared disaster area.  If your net loss is greater than $500, you do not need to itemize and can instead increase your Standard Deduction by the loss.

See this TurboTax FAQ below for more information on official disaster areas.  Click "See entire answer" for the full page view.
