I'm a Canadian living in the US on a TN visa and i'm a resident alien. I have rental income in Canada from a property i own, should i report that to the IRS? what form?ty

I am filing taxes for that rental income in canada for the current year.
should i still declare and file it in my US taxes?
Will i be taxed in the US and in Canada?
What form should i use assuming i need to report the Canadian Rental income from the property i own?
thanks

Yes, as a US resident alien, you are required to file a Form 1040 reporting worldwide income.  You need to report your Canadian rental income to IRS on a Schedule E.

To enter the information in the program, you will need to upgrade to TurboTax Premier online edition:

  • From TurboTax Deluxe online edition, after sign in to your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in schedule e and Enter
  • Select the 1st choice on the search results - Jump to schedule e, follow prompts to upgrade
  • Follow prompts
