I am legally separated. The home is community property. May I deduct 50% of the mortgage interest and property taxes if I live elsewhere and pay alimony?

If your spouse actually paid 100% of the mortgage and property taxes, she is entitled to claim them on her tax return.

Even if you still legally own the house with her, you cannot claim these expenses as you did not pay them.
