I need to get back into my schedule C to eliminate an erroneous claim for a deduction for long term care insurance. How do I scroll to that entry?

I discovered during the final error check on my 1040 that I had claimed long term care insurance twice -- once on Schedule C (self-employed) and once on Schedule A.  Which is correct and how to I correct the form?

Let me see If I can help.

There may be a couple place you entered it in the business section.  go to number 2 area below first as that is the most common area, it gets entered.

First go to the Business area, and get to a screen titled: "Let's gather your business info".

1)  On this screen it has tabs for Sch C business, Rentals and towards bottom there is a section titled; "Less common Business Situations" --it may be under the Self-employed health insurance possibly.  You should see a dollar amount if it is, (unless you have the health insurance premiums there.

2)  If not there, then go into the Business Income and Expenses above as it must be under "Other common business expenses", under Insurance payments and go to that area and take it out.
