No issue date on drivers license

I have Kansas driver's license with # and expiration date, but no issue date. Software keeps demanding issue date even though I check there isn't one -won't let me go forward with e-file...

No issue date on drivers license

I am having this same problem.  Based on the answer given, it appears that if you do not have an issue date on your driver's license, you no longer have this choice to protect your identity and help the IRS fight tax fraud.  Seems to me someone at Turbotax could simply just correct this program glitch and when the radio button is checked that there is no issue date, the program would accept that and not continue to prompt you for the date, rather than preventing you from clicking "continue".   This would still enable the other driver's license information to be used as a security measure.

No issue date on drivers license

The driver's license number is an added security measure the IRS and States have put in place for 2016 but for most states your return can be filed and will process without your driver's license number.  Alabama and Illinois do require an ID to be provided in order to e-file this year.  Here is a work around for a problem with issue date or expiration date.
