During a divorce in 2015, i assumed the mortgage. The mortgage is in my ex husbands name. I am legally responsable for payments and pay them. Can i claim the interest?

I have made all payments. My name is on the deed but not on the loan. The divorce decree states that I must pay the mortgage until I get it in my name.

Yes.  As long as your name is on either the deed or the mortgage, you can include in your itemized deductions the interest you paid.
