Why must I sign in having to reset my password each time? History shows no improper access what's wrong?

Every time I sign in I have to reset my password yet the original password is still on my account. One time the system sent my reset to a gmail address which I do not have. I checked my history and there appears to be no improper access. I have changed my password and deleted all private information until this issue can be resolved.

You will probably need to call customer support who can access your account. This is a public board and most of the people who answer questions are volunteers.

You can start by using this tool to see if you accidentally or on purpose have more than one account.  https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery/

Each account has a different user ID, although they can be linked to the same email address.

Log into each account and make sure your cell phone number and email address are updated and correct.  

It's possible that if someone else has a similar email address and mistyped it in their preferences, you would get a spurious email.  But that's unclear which is why you should call support.

Also, being asked for a 6 digit authentication code is not the same as resetting your password, that's an additional verification step that is triggered when turbotax does not recognize your computer, possibly because you are changing computers, or your computer is changing IP addresses, or your browser is not saving cookies correctly.
