Why is my Missouri state payment not drafted from my bank checking account like the federal payment?

I completed my Federal and Missouri State Returns, including my banking information for direct payment.  After submitting my returns, I was notified that I would need to print off the state payment voucher and submit it along with my payment to the state department of revenue.  Why is my Missouri state payment not drafted from my bank checking account like the federal payment?

You may have selected to pay Missouri with a Check/Money order. 

If you want to pay using direct debit instead of a check, go to the MO department of revenue website.
