Why has the w2 upload been scanning for viruses for 30 minutes...

This has been an issue this year for TurboTax.  One Expert suggested disabling your virus protection software.   That may work.

 

The other option is to enter your W-2 manually into the program.  That's what I'd recommend.  I'm linking the TurboTax FAQ with instructions below.
