Why don't I qualify for my Childs dependent taxes full amount up $1,600 I believe if I didn't work all year , does income matter to claim your child in taxes? Need info

The refundable portion of the additional child tax credit is based on earned income.

If you did not have enough, or you had too much, you will not qualify for the credit, or you may only qualify for a reduced credit.
