Why do I need to pay for the deluxe edition?

I was using the free edition. I get to the last file section. It is making me pay deluxe due to stating I have a penalty error of early withdrawal from savings? Is there a way to fix this?

If you have an early withdrawal penalty in box 2 of a 1099-INT, it has to be reported on Schedule 1, which is not included in Free Edition. You have to upgrade to Deluxe in order to file Schedule 1.

You might be able to File your taxes for free with one of the options on the IRS web site.
