Why do I have to upgrade to deluxe to do my taxes?

The Free Edition only does the 1040EZ and 1040A for simple returns and not the full 1040.  You must have something in your return that needs to go on the full 1040. Do know it is not mandatory to upgrade, but to take advantage of the full features and benefits of maximizing your deductions and credits you may want to upgrade.
