Why do I have to pay for the preparation of my taxes. I have always had them done for free on turbo tax. Thank you {PII removed}

Your post indicates that you're using the most expensive TurboTax Online program. You can downgrade to the Free program (and begin again) by using the Clear and Start Over feature IF you haven't yet registered your product or made payment. Just keep in mind that all the entries you've made will be deleted.

You "may" still need to upgrade from Free Edition to a paid edition, but the program will notify you at that point.
