Why didn't turbo tax prepare the correct form for contractor payment from 2020?

I installed turbo tax home and office for 2020 filing and have all contractors, and checked for software updates, but it still prepared 1099 MISC not the new 1099 NEC

I've used QEF in the past, but am not using is for 2020.  I've asked others who may know the answer to your question, but I'm pretty sure that the Quick Employer Forms for 2020 has the capability of preparing both of these 1099s.

Were you asked to select which type of 1099 you wished to prepare?  Maybe you can go back into the program and check to see if the 1099-NEC is an option you overlooked?
