Why can't the IRS find my information for the stimulus payment?

I filed my 2018 taxes and my 2019 taxes in April 2020.  2018 had to be filed by mail but 2019 has been accepted.  I filed both with my new address and as married filing separate.  Why am I still not able to get any information on my stimulus payment.

Why can't the IRS find my information for the stimulus payment?

The IRS must completely process at least one of these returns for you to get a stimulus payment. They are way behind in processing returns. The 2018 return won't be processed for a long time because they are not processing any mailed returns and haven't been for some time.

 

You can track the status of your 2019 return if you are getting a refund using this web site:
