My husband and I moved out of SC into PA this past June so that he could obtain his Master's degree. We don't intend to make PA our permanent home after he graduates, in 2 years. Neither of us works here in the state, however, he did commute daily from SC to NC to work until the end of May earlier this year. I didn't earn any income whatsoever. And we intend to file jointly again next year.
My question is: which states are we going to file for? All three states?
P.S.: We filed as part-year residents for SC and NC state taxes last year. So, we're not sure how living in PA would affect how we file now.

Since you never established residency in NC, you will file:
1) a non-resident NC return, reporting all the income you earned in NC; and
2) a part-year resident return in SC, reporting all the income earned while a resident of SC, and
3) a part-year resident return in PA, reporting all the income earned while a resident of PA.
With TurboTax, you should file your state returns in that order.
My answer assumes that you abandoned your domicile in SC when you moved to PA.
