I lived and worked in California in 2022 and 2023. My husband has never lived in California nor had California sourced income. We filed jointly for federal tax and I filed separately for California. My husband did not file for California. I recently realized the federal return I attached with my California is the dummy MFS return because Turbotax automatically prints that out.
Do I need to amend it now?

Not necessarily. If there are no changes to the state return, you would not need to amend your return.
Even though the federal joint return should have been sent as the attachment to your married filing separately state return, I recommend waiting and letting the FTB process your return. They will send you a correspondence if they need to have a copy of the federal joint return.
If you want to confirm what you should do directly with the FTB, you can also use the information in this link to contact them.
