If you claimed a deduction for health insurance premiums on a Schedule A filed with your federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR, the computation of Line 18 of your Form 39R will involve a computation that could result in a number you don't recognize from any particular source.
According to Line 18 Health Insurance Premiums in the Instructions for Form 39R, Resident Supplemental Schedule:
Deduct premiums you paid for health insurance for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents if those premiums haven’t already been deducted or excluded from your income.
If you claimed a deduction for health insurance premiums on your federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR, Schedule A, use the worksheet on page 35 to calculate the deduction allowed for health insurance premiums. The worksheet follows the priority that itemized deductions first apply to health insurance premiums then to long-term care insurance.
Please look at the worksheet on page 35 of the instructions to see if this isn't what's resulting in the number you're seeing on Line 18 of your Form 39R. If it's not, please feel free to post back, with any additional health care premium information.
