When will my funds be returned after rejected eFile?

I used the Credit Card option to eFile my Federal return and the funds were authorized to be paid from my checking account connected to the card.  The merchant is listed as US TREAS TAX PYMT
My eFile was rejected but the funds still show as debited/pending from my account the next day. When will my funds be returned to me?

That charge may just be a holding charge and may disappear within a few business days.

When will my funds be returned after rejected eFile?

Bank says 5 to 7 business days for that. Fingers crossed I don't have a bad situation like some described here. But still, this is incredibly annoying. No funds should have been made available until the return was accepted.
I expected better from TurboTax and was disappointed.

Will keep everyone posted on this.

When will my funds be returned after rejected eFile?

Funds were finally returned to my account this afternoon, 9 calendar days later, after I called the bank to dispute them. Not sure if they had returned normally or after the bank contacted the IRS. At least I got the $$$ back!

In the future I'm going to attempt to file the returns electronically but always mail a check separately. If the electronic filing is rejected then resort to printed returns + a check. Wished I had done that in the first place.
