When it asks whether I've been a victim of identity theft, is it only asking about the current year??

Several years ago I was a victim and they did actually get my taxes. SO, I HAVE been a victim of identity theft but I'm not sure if it's asking about this year only or at any time... Please advise 🙏 Thank you!!

This question means have you ever been a victim of identity theft.  

The way you answer the question verifies information that only you will know.  Read the question carefully before you answer. 

 For example, here is my question to you, have you been a victim of identity theft?  I expect a yes based on what you said earlier.  Hope this helps.
