What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

It’s on the third page of the capital loss carryforward worksheet. There are a bunch of numbers I’m supposed to enter from my 2021 calculations (even though TurboTax did those, too). It has checked Yes for the question “Is this return impacted by inaccurate TY21->TY22 conversion?”  and then flagged several links that follow to be filled in by hand. These Include things from 2021 Schedule D for AMT and from the 2022 Capital Loss Carryover Worksheet, but  I don’t have either of those, even if I fire up TT21, because I wasn’t subject to AMT and didn’t have a net capital loss.

If possible, change the answer to this question from Yes to No.

If you're unable to change the answer, enter zeroes for any boxes where input is requested.

What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

This is also happening to me, no AMT in previous years, but a small capital loss.

What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

When my TT updated itself yesterday morning, it had decided to check No instead of Yes, though puzzlingly it also populated those five lines from 2021.

I'm going to just assume No is the right answer for me. I do wish their "help" output (and I use scare-quotes advisedly) would give a little more detail. Is this "inaccurate TY21->TY22 conversion" the result of some error in TT22 that they are trying to work around? I can't find this phrase anywhere in IRS docs, though God knows I haven't looked at all of them.

Fortunately for me the numbers involved are small enough that I can probably ignore the question.

I'm having the same problem. I cannot change the question to No and I never had to deal with this AMT in 2021 nor 2022. Can you please help?

Thank you

I believe, cause I don't trust these people, that it is a way to have you have them fill out your taxes so they can make more money.

What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

I don't know why you weren't able to change it to No - were you changing it on the form view or through the regular questions part? I was only able to change it to No when viewing it on the form during the review for errors. You can also enter the previous year's numbers during the review part and it also automatically changed the answer to "No" for me.

What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

It's grayed out on the form. Now I put in 0 in all of the fields, I cannot seems to get back to that steps. How can I get that to show up again?

Also, speaking of the question, how can I get back to the question or get it to reset?

I thought it was because I haven't paid yet but now I did pay I cannot even reset and start over which is very stupid. I haven't filed yet or submitted, I tried to start over and I can't now. It's really costing me so much time. Please help. Thank you

What does "inaccurate TY21 -> TY22 conversion" mean?

Thanks that helped, I think, I still can't get that form to load the way it did initially but I refilled the capital loses section and I think that did it
