What do I do if I accidentally filed head of household?
How did you "accidentally" claim HOH? Either you qualify for it or you don't.

I thought I was head of house hold because I pay all of my bills, I did not realize you had to have a dependent. I made an honest mistake

What do I do if I accidentally filed head of household?
Go to the Personal information and filing status and edit. It is unlikely that TurboTax changed your filing status to HOH unless you already entered a qualifying relative as a dependent since that is a requirement for HOH. The HOH interview makes you enter your dependent before it will change to HOH.

If federal is already e-filed and pending, and you need to add information to your return, you need to wait until it is either accepted, or rejected.
If rejected, you can update your return and re-file.
