Doesn't matter if you ever went to NY after you moved to Texas. New York taxes any income earned by employees of businesses located there as 'New York source income', even remote.

If so, for 2022, you will file a 'Non-Resident' return to California to report your 'California source' income.
However, if they are continuing to withhold NY state taxes, you will need to file as a 'Non-Resident' for New York in 2022. It really depends on where the company is located (or states that they are located).
Here's more info on How to File a Non-Resident State Return and how to file a Part-Year Resident Return.
