We took out a"Parent Plus" student loan for my daughter who is now married and no longer a dependent. We pay the loan and interest. How can i use that deduction?

If you receive a 1098-E, Student Loan Interest Statement, you can get a credit for the interest paid.

1.  Go to Federal, next, Deductions and Credits.

2.  Select Education (make sure all Deduction and Credits are displayed).

3.  Choose Student Loan Interest Paid (Form 1098-E).

4.  Now, you can answer the questions and enter the information from your 1098-E.
