Wash sale when having multiple brokerage accounts.

I have multiple brokerage accounts. If my transactions were made in separate brokerage accounts, and they fit the wash sale rule, will turbo tax automatically aggregate the data and calculate it and adjust the cost basis for me?

Or is this something I'll have to manually calculate and update in turbo tax?

Thank you

Wash sale when having multiple brokerage accounts.

No neither Turbotax nor the brokers will know there is a wash sale, You'll have to make the adjustment manually.

Be careful since purchasing a substantially identical security (SIS) in certain retirement accounts within the 60-day window also creates a wash sale, but since the SIS are in the retirement account you lose the entire benefit of the wash sale since no adjustment is made to the retirement account
