Was told that before paying for the deluxe at the end it would recognize that I’m active duty military and not charge for deluxe

Do you have a DFAS w-2 entered and do you have your enlisted rank entered?  Enlisted and Active Duty:   As long as you have a w-2 from DFAS entered in TurboTax and your rank is entered as E-1 - E-9 in the My Info section (see below), TurboTax will automatically apply the discount.   Military Promo - Thank you for your service!

You may need to delete the w-2 and re-enter it if the discount is not applying.   See Military Discount Help
