I got the same disconcerting message. I don't understand most of the stuff that other folks have written about certificates etc. So, just want to say that the fact that this message 'unknown publisher' occurs suggests Intuit is lazy and sloppy. I have been using Turbo Tax for years and never got that message before. After fretting about whether or not I should update and not being able to find any answers anywhere, I just went ahead and updated, hoping that my Norton Internet Security would stop any bad stuff from happening. The update seemed to go OK and I don't seem to have any problems. I ran Norton Quick Scan after installing the updates and it told me everything was fine.

It was Norton 'Smart Scan', not quick scan.
I have the same issue. Where did you buy your copy?
