Unable to enter prior year special depreciation allowance on TurboTax Online

I took a Special Depreciation Allowance for a cell phone) used 50% for business) for 2022. Now doing 2023 taxes via TT Online but it won’t let me enter 2022 SDA anywhere - causing a review error because that field is blank on the asset worksheet. Any solutions?

If you used TurboTax last year, the information for your business asset (including depreciation) should have been transferred to your current year return,  with both a Special Depreciation Allowance and an AMT deduction.

Check your asset worksheet from last year (you may need to download the PDF first). Or the Depreciation Report (there's one for regular depreciation and one for AMT). Confirm the amounts that should have been carried over.

If you can't resolve the error, you'll need to delete the asset then re-enter using the information from last year's depreciation reports.
