I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with my experience using TurboTax for the 2024 tax year. As a long-time customer since 2009 and a TurboTax Advantage Member since 2024, I expected a smooth process in claiming my one free Audit Defense benefit — but this has turned into a stressful, unresolved ordeal.
Despite following all steps and reaching out to customer support three separate times, I am still unable to activate my Audit Defense through the desktop version. Each support call lasted a long time and involved various troubleshooting attempts, lengthy holds, and ultimately no solution. I was told the issue was a technical glitch involving TurboTax’s servers, and that it should resolve “by the next business day,” but that never happened — even after repeated attempts on my end.
I’ve exhausted every avenue to resolve this myself. Now, I respectfully request that TurboTax contact their Audit Defense partner directly to place my benefit order on my behalf and ensure I receive the protection promised as part of my TurboTax Advantage membership.
The inability to access a benefit that was a key reason I upgraded to Advantage membership has made this year’s tax experience extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Please resolve this promptly and honor your commitment.
